4.      Differentiate between elements, mixtures and compounds by using physical & chemical properties and physical & chemical changes.

a. Design a scheme for correlating elemental names and their symbols

5.      List the SI Units for the 7 standard measures and common metric system prefixes and meanings

6.      Describe what certainty and uncertainty in measurements means by using significant figures

7.      Convert a measurement from one unit to another using dimensional analysis and sig figs
