NOTICE TO PARENTS AND
SENIORS (Class of 2010)
INFORMATION REGARDING PHOTOS FOR
USE IN THE YEARBOOK
Photographers
who have agreed to provide pictures meeting the preferred specifications for
senior photos for use in the yearbook are listed on the back of this notice. YOU MAY GO TO ANY PHOTOGRAPHER YOU
CHOOSE, however, the picture submitted for use in the yearbook must meet the
attached specifications to the satisfaction of each school¼s yearbook adviser.
If you go to a
photographer not on this list, be sure to take the attached
specifications. Make certain the
photographer agrees to provide a picture that meets these specifications BEFORE
you have your picture taken. It is
recommended that students contact several photographers to obtain estimates of
costs before making an appointment.
You will need a wallet-size, basic head-and-shoulders pose (no hands
visible), on a medium-tone neutral-color background for use in the yearbook. The photographer should be prepared to
provide this type of photo in addition to any other personal requests or
preferences you may have.
Keep in
mind that a basic photo, such as the one preferred for the yearbook, is also
useful for other purposes such as college applications, resumes, etc. An acceptable yearbook photo may also
be obtained through the school photographer that visits your school each year.
The objective of the yearbook is to produce a historic
record of each school¼s senior class, which presents all students in a uniform
and equitable manner.
